About us
KF Albrecht & Co (SA) (Pty) Ltd is a well-established company, having been founded in 1949 by Mr. Karl Friedrich Albrecht. Appreciating that this fast-developing country could benefit from advances made in Europe, the United States, and later Japan, Mr. Albrecht based his business on supplying the up-to-the-minute technology, South Africa required. With the ever-changing, shift of the needs of this country and its industries, the company has adapted itself over the years.
To this end, Albrecht Machinery (Pty) Ltd was formed in 1983, to cater to the ever-growing Industrial Laundry and Food processing market in South Africa. In September 2006, we decided to split the food and laundry divisions, and our company name was changed to Amlazi Equipment Services (Pty) Ltd with Albrecht Machinery (Pty) Ltd being responsible for attending to our food customer base.
For over 20 years we proceeded as the sole Agents for Senking (now under Jensen) in South Africa. We installed their first tunnel washers in 1986 and have subsequently supplied and installed, an additional 20 tunnel washing lanes into the South African Market. Up until 1995 we marketed and serviced only Senking tunnel washers and complemented these tunnel washers with Passat tumble dryers. However, having established a good name in the Market for Service and support. as well as laundry “know-how” in general, we were approached by customers to also offer ironers, feeders, and folders.

In 1995 we started our relationship with Kannegiesser, and we became their official Agents in Southern Africa. We have been very successful in Supplying, Installing, and Maintaining Kannegiesser tunnel Washing lanes, Ironing lines, and Garment tunnel finishers, over the last 15 years. Initially, with private laundries, but lately government laundries have found that new ironers with automatic feeders and folders have dramatically increased their outputs.
The Kannegiesser range also incorporates the products of Voss, Passat & Ducker SuperTrack and they are today one of the world’s largest manufacturers of high-quality large industrial laundry equipment with 4 factories in Germany and over 900 employees and 2000 Sq. meters under the factory roof.
Our Head Office is based in Cape Town, but over the years we have expanded to having additional offices in Johannesburg, Durban, and Pretoria. In each of these offices, we employ dedicated service technicians as well housing a spare parts store.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our servicing and maintenance of Continuous Batch Washing Lanes and other Industrial Laundry equipment and have been awarded maintenance contracts in the Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal, Western Cape, Free State, Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West, and Northern Cape Provinces. Our technicians have received training from Kannegiesser Engineers and are well-versed in the Repairs and Maintenance of all the Equipment we supply and install.
We are registered with the Construction and Development Board (CIDB) and have received a 7ME rating. Our BEE rating is a Level 2.
